Rear End Brake Parts
Hi Fellow FordBarners I have 2 questions. First are Lf. and Right side Backing Plates the same ? 2nd question I believe Left and Right emergency brake Backing Plates are different. By looking at the Plates how can you tell. Thank you in advance for all your help. !!!

I learned the hard way there are left and right AA emergency backing plates, only way i noticed was imagine pulling on the brake arms and seeing how the parts will move, if you put a passengers side on the drivers it actually would pull the band AWAY from the drum when the lever is pulled haha.
I beleive there are left and right backing plates and emergency brake

Yes front backing plates are the same
Rear emergency carriers are left and right as well as the service brake levers on the rear brake camshafts . The backing plates themselves are the same except when assembled with the levers it makes them left and right respectively Larry Shepard |
