Default The "Ace" mechanic

So I have kept a lot of scribbled notes and a few diagrams over the years to refresh the mind when redoing some of my major projects, as I believe more than a few of us have. I cleaned out my garage lately, that was a good thing, even a few brownie points with my bride. ( Can't remember what those are good for, but they are there if I ever do remember.) Anyway while doing that I kept a sharp eye out for a wiring diagram for my A/C unit which Davis sold me for my coupe. Never spotted it. The last couple of days I did some serious hunting through boxes, drawers full of parts and a file cabinet with such useful things as notes on meetings I had attended forty some years agon in Jakarta, Indonesia, while there on a business trip with a cousin who taught me what the Ugly American really looks like in action.
So today I gave in, Called my friend Herb and he graciously provided another copy of the original diagram from Mr. Davis. Got home and found my own dang copy and notes Herb had created to clarify things not apparent in the originals.
So now I'm a happy camper ready to do something and the new just tells me to sit tight dummy, it's going to be really hot for the next week. That may cut into my nap time, beside stopping my plan of attack on the A/C unit.

In my workshop, the best way to find a lost object is to buy another. I think my workshop is no different from anybody else's.

I recently established an off-site shop, and in the course of moving tools there I found no fewer that four sets of 1/4" drive sockets and 3 sets of 3/8" drive sockets. Obviously over the years I was inflicted with the same situation Synchro describes. I have no recollection of how I ended up with so many but at least the tool kit in the car is well stocked now!

Not to mention the many partially full oil containers...
