Default Brake screech when reversing

Some months ago I installed the Flathead Ted floater kit on my 1928 Phaeton. Just after this I left on holidays and it is just recently that I have gone back to working with my cars.

When I reverse the car, there is a screech and a noticeable restriction in movement. Obviously something is causing the brakes to grab when the normal wheel rotation is reversed.

Yesterday I jacked the car up with all four wheels off the ground. Although there is a bit of stiffness in one wheel, they all seem to be easily turned in the reverse direction.

Any suggestions or tips before I start to strip down each wheel looking for the culprit?

Cheers
John

With those kits, it is imperative that you follow the instructions to the letter. Good luck finding the culprit.

Brake noise is usualy caused by loose linning on a brake shoe vibrating.
