I suspect it is not off a Ford.

Mart.

It kinda looks like the water crossover from a 55-58 Chrysler hemi. Any other stuff from early hemi's in that shed?

I agree with Tubman in that it's a water crossover (from one head to the other on a V8). Besides the 50's Chrysler Hemi, I believe Pontiac or Olds and Cadillac V8's in the 50's also used the crossovers.

"Sal" - Thinks for the confirmation. I think you may be righter than me, because, while it looks close to a piece from an early hemi, I don't think it is. I have an Olds rocket under the stairs at my shop; I'll take a look when I get there later on. (The only early hemi's I have are a '54 331 and a 331 out of a '56 truck, neither of which have a crossover.)

I've been looking at other 50's V8 pictures and all I find have the thermostat housing flange in the middle of the crossover. Not on one end like this one is. I looked at Olds, Pontiac, Cadillac, Buick and Packard. Also Dodge and Desoto hemi's.
