Default Drip rail install / rain gutters, belt rail

I'm finishing up my sport coupe top on my early 28, just checking to see if the rain gutter look correct or if they should move forward / back or up/down before I secure them. As of right now, they are centred over the nails. Also, how snug do I fit the belt rail moulding, do I hammer it right right to the belt rail, snug, or a little loose to install the final trim, thanks in advance

I know this is an old post but hopefully you can answer my question. The base of your drip rail looks like mine. When I removed the drip rail to replace the top I forgot to take pictures of how it fit. Now that I'm replacing it, the drip rail seems to want to fit in the upper groove of the base piece (with a stretch and hammer) and no where near going over the entire base piece top to bottom as people are telling me it should be. If it does, can you tell me how you did it? Thanks ahead...

The early ones had that little downward curve at the rear and it seems they were a little different than the ones on my mid 29 car. Is your car an early one from 1928?
