Brake screech when reversing
Some months ago I installed the Flathead Ted floater kit on my 1928 Phaeton. Just after this I left on holidays and it is just recently that I have gone back to working with my cars.
When I reverse the car, there is a screech and a noticeable restriction in movement. Obviously something is causing the brakes to grab when the normal wheel rotation is reversed. Yesterday I jacked the car up with all four wheels off the ground. Although there is a bit of stiffness in one wheel, they all seem to be easily turned in the reverse direction. Any suggestions or tips before I start to strip down each wheel looking for the culprit? Cheers John |

Re: Brake screech when reversing
With those kits, it is imperative that you follow the instructions to the letter. Good luck finding the culprit.
