Default Seat riser anti-squeak material

Just removed the seat riser off the floor of the truch to straighten/weld it back to normal. Under the lip that contacts the floor pans is a very thin material of some kind.

Surmise it was for anti-squeak, and after looking for it on-line, can't find anything like it. 1/16 welting is too thick.

Anyone know or have ideas?

C&G (800/266-0470) sells "anti squeak" in 6 oot rolls. Ask for B-5011-A.

On my 46 coupe there is a material between the inner fender and fender that looks like Friction tape or as we use to call it Tar Tape. Would that work?

The stuff you have witnessed is canvas. A VERY similar product can be purchased at any fabric store. It is called "duck cloth" - seriously.
I use Duck cloth where authentically required in all of my restorations.

You can buy this by the foot x 54" wide for about $2.50.
