Hub cap mounting tab tricks?
What are people's tricks for bending over the hub cap tabs?
I'd like to not scratch the paint on my new wheels. Any pictures of tools or techniques would be helpful. I have a 31'.

That's how I found mine had been done. I think I'd use clear silicone instead, though. Last edited by Badpuppy; 09-18-2018 at 03:47 PM. |

I use "The Hub Cap Tool". The hub caps snap on when the tabs are properly bent. No silicon needed. No rattles, never lost a hub cap. |

Does anyone know how the tabs were bent at the factory when the cars were new?

By the way, here's a Tech Video on how to make your own hubcaps:

I also use the hub cap tool, I notched it five more times and bent all ten tabs. Looks like an electrical box knock-out replacement plug when you get through. No chipped paint, no glue, no rattles, haven't lost a cap in ten years.
