As expected, the window regulator gears on both mechanisms on my 1929 Sport Coupe are worn out. Since I prefer to use original parts, is there a way these regulators can be reliably repaired ?

There are decent reproduction made now……uncertain as to current availability. Supply chain still screwed up imho!
Check with Berts. Ask for “good ones” !!

There are many “repair kits”. You’ll need to know gear configurations, # of teeth, etc

I had to get a repo regulator when I installed the roll-down rear window in my 31 coupe as I did not have one to rebuild

Ordered one from Berts and was very happy with the quality, if my door ones were not in good shape I would not hesitate to order replacements

Snyder's made the ones in my pickup. They replaced relatively new ones made by Vintique and installed by PO. The ones from Snyder's have been great, 12+ years.

I’m buying a pair of the repro regulators - looks like a couple of vendors carry USA made ones.

I remember trying to repair the regulators in a ‘30 Town Sedan in the late 60’s without having a lot of success. Replacement seems to be the way to go.
