Default 1936 5 window project: what to do?!?

Just picked this girl up. I was told it was a lot cleaner then it was when I got it. Holy crap. Roofs been cut off and then welded back on like crap. Needs all the lower patch panels but the floor is half way decent. Right cowl panel is basically all fiberglass. The amount of fiberglass on this car blows! All the fenders have filler and fiberglass around the edges. I'm stuck now cause I don't know if I should build a roadster out of it. I have the tools and skills to make all the roadster correct panels or do I sell the damn thing. I don't know. What do you guys think? I paid 3200 bucks for it. Came with a seat and headlights so at least I kinda got the hard parts to find.

Give Dave Kindig or Richard Rawlins a call.....it could be a feature car.
Seriously though, I see what appears to be a 21 stud motor judging by the LH water
pump peeping over the fender..could it be an LB ? If it is an LB Flathead that is in
decent shape 80% of your $3200 is covered.

3,200 for a 36 ford coupe roller is not a bad deal, if you've got the talent to make roadster panels then it should be a easy project, good luck

Better than what I started with. I paid $2K plus $990 for delivery for a basket case with all kinds of stuff missing. Those rear fenders are wort $500 each and so is the trunk lid. If the frame is good you've still got a good deal. If the motor turns over you've got a GREAT DEAL.

It would make a nice vintage stock car, I built a 36 stock back in 65. Walt

If you want your money back pull the engine and see if it has inserts. Sell it to these guys on the Fordbarn. Put the body on the HAMB for the hot rodders
to chew on.

I just discovered this on my car.... had a couple friends confirm it looks legit.

Just showing so you know what to look for... the "L" is a bit light

Zach - I just need to point out that that darn 3/8" bolt on your intake is NOT an original Henry Ford bolt . . . now get it out of there!

Thanks for sharing the 'LB' markings picture - have never owned one myself.

Whatever somebody is willing to gamble - and a gamble it is! Me, wouldn't give more than a $100 - unless there was a guarantee to return it if it wasn't cracked or had other issues. If a guarantee was given, then I'd probably go up to $400 or so.
