more parts to identify
more parts to identify and possibly price. Anything I part out will be posted here on the Barn before trying epay as a last resort. Thanks Bill
Two different gas tanks. one ion the left has a recessed end cap. Both very clean inside. Possibly never used. Radiator looks excellent but I want to do a leak test before doing anything with it. I think the adapters at T to A but no way to tell for sure. Last edited by 4tford; 08-05-2020 at 08:03 AM. |

Re: more parts to identify
Both Tops are not T. The red one is probably a tractor sun shade, the other top is maybe for a car, but I don't know what car.

Re: more parts to identify
The gas tanks both look to be Model T, radiator aftermarket 28-29 Model A.

Re: more parts to identify
Not too sure, but did the model A have one radiator support rods or two? Maybe a '32 B model?? ws

Re: more parts to identify
Many thanks guys. Really a lot of help. I ended up with all this stuff when a 90 year old fellow sold his farm to move into a care home. I really have no use for it but did not want to see it sit in a barn or shed and rust out. More to come. Thanks Bill

Re: more parts to identify
The 5 disc pieces sure are a joke. Wheel adapters adapted to Model T hubs!

Re: more parts to identify
28 -29 had two support rods and screw on radiator cap. 30 up had twist lock.

Re: more parts to identify
Those hubs look like 5-bolt hubs that Ford made for the optional wire wheels! The adaptors? The Ford hubs would be 5-on-5 for the "T". Model A hubs are 5-on-51/2. Model A wheels are more plentiful than the "T" wire wheel. Perhaps the reason for the adaptors? Measure them up, Bill, and see what you have.

Re: more parts to identify
Id like to see a pic of the back side of those hubs with 10 holes drilled like Swiss cheese! 6 holes for wood spokes and 5 for the wire wheel and using one from the wood pattern would net you ten holes. Then the front with the THIRD pattern for the "A" wheels. YIKES! ws

Re: more parts to identify
better view of the spacers. Found this info on the net. It was suggested to me that these may be for switching from T wood spoke to wire wheels.
These wheel adapters that will space your 5 lug 5" HUB pattern to a 5 lug 5" WHEEL pattern about 1" inch. SEMA approved and made from high grade heat-treated aluminum. Each adapter is approximately 1" thick. Last edited by 4tford; 08-05-2020 at 08:03 AM. |

Re: more parts to identify
But these are not 6-bolt to 5-bolt adaptors! And 5-bolt spacers don't have 10 holes. So, are both bolt circles 5", and if that's the case what is the intended use of these? Just kinda curious.

Re: more parts to identify
So the first pic shows T hubs screwed onto the adapters with one extra adapter redrilled for a bigger pattern. The T hubs (wooden) needed to be drilled and have 10 holes as one will line up. Both front and rear. These really look like offset spacers, but the one hole is slotted so that different lug pattern bushings can be used, as in putting chevy wheels on a dodge. Post a pic of the back side of the T hubs will ya??? ws

Re: more parts to identify
Your first post show two spacers with T hubs installed. Id like to see the back side of the HUBS, not the spacers...
Look around here for a while... ws https://www.google.com/search?q=mag+...bih=567#imgdii=_

Re: more parts to identify
The adapters look like 5 bolt T hubs (5"BC) onto 5 bolt A wheels (5-1/2"BC). I had a set just like these years ago that JC Whitney provided.
I have a strange set (5) of 5" BC T wheels that take the '28/'29 hubcaps and not the standard '26/27 caps. |

Re: more parts to identify
I had those adapters figured to mate T wood spoke hubs (6 holes) to late T wire wheels 5 hole 5 inch spacing.

Re: more parts to identify
Take a piece of paper and cut out a 5" circle, and take another piece and cut out a 5-1/2" circle and lay them over the adapter and see how they line up. You will know that A and T items are used.
