This is a pic of my wifes great grandfathers T dealership.I do not know the year unfortunately. It was I believe in Charlotte TN.I am currently researching the subject so maybe I will be able to update someday.I hope it is still standing and we can drive our T through there on our way south and get a pic of us out front.I thought some might enjoy the pic.

Re: My wifes great grandfathers T dealership
I love old photos with history... And it is so much better if it is family history. I'm working on a 30 coupe right now ...but I have a 25 roadster and it'll be next. Thanks for posting...all the best to you and yours.

Re: My wifes great grandfathers T dealership
I like looking at the old pictures, especially the background. While looking at the roadster I tried to figure out what year it is. But I'm not knowledgable enough to tell. This really is a great photo.

Re: My wifes great grandfathers T dealership
I found a picture on line of an old Sinclair station in My home town from the '20s. It has a model t under the canopy between the pumps and the station. The building is still a business and the owners said it won't be a problem for me if I want to park my t under the canopy where the t was sitting in the '20s and take a photo.

It would be neat to post the old pic and the new one with your T in the same spot.

Re: My wifes great grandfathers T dealership
It'll be next spring before I can get the picture, but barring fire or flood I'm hoping to get it done. I would have had it done this fall if the magneto wouldn't have taken a dump in October.

Re: My wifes great grandfathers T dealership
Look at the window near the center of the photo under the "BROS". There is a lot of reflection on the glass, but is that a CHEVROLET "bowtie" sign hanging inside the window?

Re: My wifes great grandfathers T dealership
Boys,I just cant figure out WHAT that part is. I dont think it is chevorelet but i can not figure what it IS. I will try to have my father-in-law examine his original. I know that the two brothers started the business with one brother going to a "mechanics engineering" type school in Kansas city. When he came back home he and his broter openend the shop.At first they just did repairs, then over time they assembled cars that came disassembled. In the end they also sold new cars as well. I am unsure where in the chain of events this picture is . But in those days...maybe they repaired what ever kept the doors open. I have no idea.
