I had my right hip replaced twice. Then bought our 29 roadster 6 months later. No Issues at all.

Most of that is good to hear as my right hip is just starting to give me some trouble. So far, Aspercream gives me some relief, and I can still drive all of my Model As. I'm 72 for 1 more month.

Thank you all for your encouragement, suggestions and information. It has all been most helpful to me and I really appreciate it.

My wife, who is nearly nine years younger than I am, had both knees replaced about three years ago. She had lots of pain and therapy so I have an idea of what to expect. My Orthopedic Surgeon has told me that hip surgery is a lot less complicated than knee surgery (he does both) and that much less therapy is needed.

They told me that I will be in the hospital for two or three nights and will be discharged when I can walk 100 feet and climb stairs. I will receive therapy each AM and PM while I'm there. When home a therapist will come to my house twice in the first week and possibly in the second week too.

They gave me a list of numerous things I can do and things I can't do such as bending more than 90 degrees, crossing legs, pointing toes inward or outward and driving.

Now I'm taking some kind of opiate and feeling tired and kind of loopy.

Thanks again, Robert

Good luck to you. My cousin had his replaced in August and now he goes for a one mile walk along the beach every evening after dinner. Medical technology has progressed tremendously in the last five years. Wayne
