Re: 1934 hub cap paint
Is '33. and '34 the same? and . . . who is going to crab about the close-in-match blue that you're using!
I have orig '33 cap(s) w/some but very little) blue still on, including the spare which appears to be the dentless, scratchless of the 5 caps. It would be a heck of a hubcap masking project, or use a petroleum product for 'masking' or shmearing the not-painted area(s)? Would one use a primer in order to secure the blue to the stainless? Use a spray-can . . . or use a brush? ***** "Surely, you're not using the right blue." "Oh, yes I am using the right blue, and don't call me Shirley."(Lesley Nielson, 'Airplane' |

Re: 1934 hub cap paint
This is a 32 locking cap I painted about a year ago with One-shot blue mentioned in linked post from Sheldon, above. No primer, with an Air brush. Actually did two if them!!

Re: 1934 hub cap paint
The OneShot 152L Light Blue has been in short supply in the small sized cans for a few months. Maybe another Barner will sell you a small qty to do your project.

Re: 1934 hub cap paint
My 'experience" with the AACA was not a good one, with one "know it all" V8 Ford judge who didn't know his rear from a whole in the ground in 2005!!! My "LAST" experience with the AACA !!!!

Re: 1934 hub cap paint
The correct color is OneShot reflex blue (155L). V8 Club judges are normally well aware of and look for the correct hub cap colors, which are the same '32-'35 and beyond on big trucks.
