48-52 F1 pedal bushing issue
i just installed new brass bushings in my 48-52 f1 pedals. I'm having an issue getting the shaft to fit into the bushings now so i can assemble the pedal assembly. Do these require a hone or anything? should it be a very tight fit?

After installation, MOST bushings require honing to size...a reasonably snug fit with lubrication. Even a 1/2" wooden dowel with a flap of sandpaper mounted in a drill can be made to work as a hone. Coop . |

You probably just have some burrs on the edges. I ran a brake hone until the pin fit. Clean the bushing after each hone pass so that you do not go too far and make it loose.

In the past I have had good luck using a dingleberry hone, just be careful of over honing.
