I`m working on a late 30 standard roadster, a new top was ordered from LeBaron Bonney they do not have the male snaps for the side curtains and they say they can not get them, I heed help on locating four of them, does anyone have any ideas on where to look, thanks John

Re: side curtain fastener
jw hash: This was discussed in great length a month or so ago. Try doing a search. I don't believe at this time any are available. Talk of someone tooling up to reproduce though.

Re: side curtain fastener
I have seen much discussion here on the shortage of side curtain body sockets, but I am unsure what you mean by male snaps. I am guessing maybe you mean a male stud with machine screw mounting such as used to mount the curtain over the stanchion. Inasmuch as you have been in contact with LeBaron Bonney you must have their catalog so could you post here their part number for the item you need.

He means the male part mating with the body socket.

He is talking about the male snap, that is fastened to the side curtain, itself. MIKE |

Re: side curtain fastener
Correct me if I am wrong, but I think these are the fasteners everyone is talking about. I am looking for a few myself....

Re: side curtain fastener
Quickchange said he was going to tool-up and produce the male snaps. We talked
at the Selma, Ca. swap meet about 6months ago. I said I could make them IF he wasn't going to do them. I need them and DON'T have any! Anybody have any " sacrificial " snaps for the tooling work ? Dudley |

The company that made the ones in Brent's photos is still in business. It would
be a great day if they would make MORE.... |
