Side bowl question
I am going through the mechanicals of a late 31 coupe for a gent and it has a side bowl carburetor. This will be my first side bowl that I will have the opportunity to work on. Are they the same as a regular Zenith internally other than the side bowl attachment?

Re: Side bowl question
The bottom castings with the single venture will interchange. The side bowl top casting does not have a filter screen that screws in at the end. Instead it has a filter assembly that connects to the fuel inlet. The fuel inlet port is also relocated such that you need a different configured fuel line.
I have two different fuel lines for road testing Zeniths on my Victoria that has an indented fire wall. One for side bowl carburetors and one for the others. Tom Endy |
