Default 48 Ford Tie Rod Sleeve?

I have a mate in Oz that is building a Milner Coupe Replica. He has a picture of a tie rod sleeve that he was told is a 48 Ford. I cannot find any images of this style of tie rod sleeve. Most of what I see are all the clamp style.

Any opinions?

The sleeve pictured is part of an aftermarket Ford drag-link produced in the fifties.
They show up on E-bay once in a while.
