Default 37 clamshell

Good morning, would someone comment on whether the universal joint housing is painted? I thought I read somewhere that it was not painted. Thanks

The clam shells can be painted on the outside but the inner portions of the shells and the torque tube bell should not be due to the wear surfaces there. If they were painted, it would soon wear off.
