Cam wear
From what I can read, the specified lift on an 8CM cam is .338". I have one that measures .328" pretty consistently with a digital caliper. My question is: Is that considered significant wear? Would a regrind to 8CM specs produce noticeable improvement in power or efficiency?

Re: Cam wear
Not sure that would be easy to check with calipers, are you sure you know what the base circle is? If you are measuring the cam to get it you may still be on part of the ramp. I would think you would need to measure it with a dial indicator to be positive of what you have.

Re: Cam wear
If the base circles are less than 1.165" it has been reground already. The good news is .328" lift is consistent with EAB/EAA cam but no way to tell for sure without degreeing. If you find someone who can grind a true 8CM I would certainly be interested.
