Default A what-in-the-heck-is-this question

I get most of my stuff in auctions, old car stuff & preferably old ford stuff. But those running estate sales know zilch & mish-mash inventories. So I end up with unknown stuff like this, or one time it was a float level sight glass for stromberg that almost went to brass scrap. This could be a manual lubricator for specialty tool or acessory, fuel injection for a whizzer bike... So somebody may have seen this somewhere, cast alum tank has brass filler cap & pump plunger, handlebar like mount & aparently dual outlet holes in the bottom.

Looks like some type of manual oiler that may have attached to motorcycle handle bars or frame. There's a filler plug and a push down plunger to oil chain.

Its a remote framise control valve for a 1937 Henway 3/4 ton forklift. I have about 100 of them I use to make coffee for displaced persons at disaster sites.

I think you got it sort of, I recall trying to resurrect an antique chain saw and was told it was the first one with an oiler, that was missing. Probably what this is. Since I don't know any antique chainsaw guys I suppose I can use it on my sawmill. The guides are sealed bearings that run on the band blade, could give it a squirt of oil/kerosene mix once in a while. I would feel bad if a Henway restorer was needing it for his project and it languished on a shelf. Thanks guys

OK, 51 Merc-CT, I see the oiler. Now where's the chain?

When I was a kid in the 40's, we had a power lawn mower that had an oiler on the round bar between the wheels. It looks similar to what I remember.

It does have a chain. 'Clue' (If the chain broke you would not be able to accelerate)

Sure, now I have to go look up this motorcycle to find the chain. I had a VMX1200 and this was a drive shaft housing on it, I'm curious as to where the chain is too.
