Hopefully this photo will show it better. The female connector that is soldered to the middle plunger acts as a stop for the plunger. I filed off the bottom half of the female connector flush with the plunger, which allows the horn rod contact at the other end of the plunger to stick out further and make good contact with the horn rod.
