Default Convertible top spee

Has anyone with a 46-48 Ford convertible ever timed the raising of their top? Mine takes 45 seconds and that seems slow, thanks, Rick

Jim, I converted it to a new pump under back seat,, the first one took 90 seconds, the sent me another pump and this one is doing it in 45 seconds. They said it should be faster but don't know why it is not. I guess it is what it is, thanks, Rick

Not fam. with the underseat pumps. I installed a later(pump from car that had hyd. windows) but look alike Ford pump on my car which worked some better than the original. Have not timed it.

45 seconds is really slow. It doesn't take mine that long ('39)and it's manual. Could you maybe have some air in your system? I know air in a hydraulic brake system sure messes things up.
