Temporary fire wall template
Hi folks,
I'm in the process of a frame-up renovation and I've seen a bunch of folks driving their cars during renovation with only the mechanical systems reassembled. Seems to work well (great way to verify everything's working well before putting the cab on), but in each I've seen a temporary firewall put in place to hold the various components that would normally be mounted to the real firewall. I'd like to do the same with my A - it's my first restoration and I want to make sure everything's done right mechanically before putting the cab back on. Here's my question: Does anyone have a template for that temporary firewall, or know where I can find one? I figure I can do it via trial-and-error, but it will take a lot of time and I probably won't get it as good as some of you out there. Thanks in advance for your help. |

Re: Temporary fire wall template
since i am pretty close to you i have a ready made set up that you can borrow. it comes complete with a fuel tank, wiring, dash, coil, mounting hardware and a comfy cavalier bucket seat ready to bolt up.. its so nice i took it to a car show when i was building Lucy and parked it next to my other tudor Paul.. you'll have to take the Lucy stickers off it ..lol
give me a heads up to get it out of my storage trailer Last edited by Mitch//pa; 10-30-2015 at 08:58 AM. |

Most do. Most of the time the driver side is the worst. |
