Default HOTRODSURFERS 48 Ford project

picked up this 48 ford from a guy in south philly, has not run since 1983 flat head does not run (yet) has a later 50-53 eab flatty in it-gonna clean it up get it running and stoping and just drive it as is for now

Wow! Nice find. Too many folks get hung up on a long term restoration. I would get that running and roadworthy, then enjoy driving it. You can do little repairs/cosmetic things as you go.

A pair of fender skirts and a fulton sunviser and it would look like the one i had. They are a realy nice driving car. Marv

Fine car - really like the period 50s interior! I would clean her up get her running good and by no means chop her - she looks great as is.
My avatar is my Grandpas orig car - he did hop it up after WWII 46-47 and that is how she looks today. I have a few pictures in my album in the profile Have fun

very nice car john, the plan is to lower the car a bit give it a nice stance with some chrome reverse wheels and some speed parts for the... flatty that's it!

Now that's a plan! It is nice to see fellas dig the look if these cars without always chopping them - they are great in period hop up or stock spec to bomb around in.

some updates- money is tight right now so I am doing things that cost little or no money to do- I stripped & painted my rusty splash aprons and I am working tidying up the trunk

That looks like a pair of fender skirts in the trunk, plus an extra set of hub caps, and new brake lines. Enjoy your new car.
