1. If I do a search for an old message.

2. And I have limited the number of "threads displayed" to last 30 days, will I get a search hit on a post older than 30 days?

I wonder if this might be why so many say that they searched and do not find any info on their subject?

I believe that if a post in a thread is less then 30 days old, then yes you will get the thread even if it was started years ago and you will need to look at each post to find your key word.
