Repurpose Parts
I've read lots of comments about keeping old parts even if they are not considered useable. Here is a picture of a rotating shelf I made for my work shop from old connecting rods. I have four made, two small like this and two large. The large sits above a lathe and can hold lots of the tools an swivels out of the way when you are not looking for parts. Lots of fun making them and probably not worth the time compared to a simple shelf, but what the heck.

Re: Repurpose Parts
There was a fellow Fordbarner named 'Rainmaker' Ron Cloat who was the 'master' at repurposing Model-A parts. Cool shelf!

Re: Repurpose Parts
There's no way my workshop will ever be as tidy as that. The spiders I share it with won't allow it.

Re: Repurpose Parts
1500 square feet and I didn't show the rest of the shop. Where the Town Sedan sits with it's engine stripped down is quite a quite a mess of parts all over the place. The work bench is so full you can't find anything. But the wood working end of the shop is kept pretty clean. Those plastic floor tiles are great and make it look much nicer. Spent my whole life wanting a large work shop and finally have one that will fit both Model A's and my equipment!

Re: Repurpose Parts
When I posted a picture that showed my workbench in my basement workshop (That I had newly set up) I was also teased about it being too clean. That is no longer an issue!

Re: Repurpose Parts
We have two '32 headlights and an oval driving light I repurposed into backyard lights to compliment the five kerosene lanterns with 'lectric bulbs on our patio. Also, a set of Model "T" head lights & tail light with a '27 Calif. plate that lights up on the outside shop wall, all on timers. Not to mention the front yard art '28 coupe/farm truck with head & tail lights on time a timer.

Re: Repurpose Parts
I always wanted a Coupe Body, minus the Cowl & Doors, in my front yard, as a place to sit & sip COFFEE. (With a RUSTIC Outhouse, behind it!)
