Default Dash Removal

Can anyone tell me if the dash on a 1838 Ford Standard Coupe is hard to remove or not. I want to get it painted along with the window frames but do not know if its bolted in and easy to remove or not.
Thanks,
Max

I'm not to sure on the 38 but I did do the same thing on my 46 and it all went fairly EZ. Just do your self a favor and label every wire you remove and make a note of where it go's and what it is or does. It makes putting it back together a lot EZer trust me.And also when reassembling the dash it helps to have somebody helping ya just to avoid any scratches.
It will sure look nice when its all freshly painted and put back together

very easy remove windshield trim to expose sheetmetal screws along top (about 8} then 2 bolts on bottom 1 on each side near door post. Your'r left with guage mounts and column. good luck all my bolts backed right out. Jim

A tip, while you are at it paint the inside of the dash panel a light color like white...it will make seeing all the connections easier when you put it all back together...

Anybody have any tips on removing the manual choke and throttle rods? I can't remember if the 38 has them but my 37 does.
