Default Headlights, Parking Lights 35-36

My 36 headlights have been changed to sealed beam. Now I guess the parking lights are gone ?
I assume the parking lights were just an extra bulb in the headlight shell.
Are these old vehicles ok with out the parking lights ?
Also do the rear lights also act as parking lights ?
I think I figured out the lighting switch below the steering column.
Maybe 4 positions ? Off-High Beam-Low Beam-and Parking lights.
Some confusion about the parking lights also ?

Park lights are sometimes changed to signal lights and yes in park, the taillights would work with the front park lights. Off-high-low beam and dash lights is one direction from off, while park is the opposite direction from off using the horn rod. Also be aware that the dash light switch only turns OFF the dash lights, why I do not know.

Originally the '35-36 Ford, as did the majority of vehicles prior to sealed beams, had a small light bulb located within the the reflector that was intended to be the "park light"... Actually they were not intended for parking, they were intended for the "twilight period" just prior to actual darkness..
I don't believe that there is any law that says the old cars have to have park lights on the front of the vehicle.. The tail lights will come on in the park or headlight position.
Many alternative methods of park lights have been applied on the front of the pre 1940 vehicles, some of the sealed beam conversions came with an small accessory light, Arrow was one of these companies.. Guide offered a headlight conversion in 1940 (683-C) which has become very popular with the Rat Rodders.. This unit replaces the whole headlight pod incorporating sealed beams and a park light on top of the assembly.
Some people use small motor cycle lights for park/turn lights on the front of their old cars.. The possibilities are almost endless..
