size of pickup bed
Recently purchased a nice original 46 1-ton pickup with a wood bed that I want to change to factory bed. My question is a 1/2 bed and a 1-ton bed from 46 the same? I found a decent 1/2 ton bed but will it work?

Re: size of pickup bed
Since the pickup is 114" wheelbase and the 1 ton is 122" I vote no.

Re: size of pickup bed
I had one on a one ton parts truck. It was very close to 8'. The half ton had rear fenders under it and it was about 6 1/2 feet. I should have a photo of this factory script bed mounted on a '32 1 1/2 ton. It was too short by a foot, but this '32 had been bobbed off as it had been a coal truck, so it looked ok. I will try to find a photo.
