Brent, when I stopped by your shop a few years ago I was very impressed that you had kept a special area for your dad to do his projects. Like they say, that was priceless! Your employees seemed to show him a lot of respect also. I am sure that gave him a more fulfilling life than a lot of other elder statesmen had, to be able to still hang around the shop with you. He did a good job on you and you kept a place for him.
Remember the good times your partnership had through the years and you can live through those times again in your mind. Nobody can take that away from you.

Prayers from my family to yours Brent. I must admit I'm jealous of your relationship with your dad, i never had that. I owned a 30 coupe about 35 years ago, interestingly it was one of the few times we worked together on anything and enjoyed each others company. I guess the Model A is special, just like your dad.

Brent, I want to add my voice to all those that have posted here. Losing a parent is hard, no matter when in our life it happens. My condolences to you and your family...may your dad's spirit live on in your shop and your life.

Brent,

I too am so sorry for your loss. I'm also sorry his health prevented him from attending the Houston Model A Club's 50th anniversary this year. I would have loved to have met him.

God bless,
Fred

Always appears most difficult for all of us to express one's true feelings with words at times of such an immense family loss.

Please find inner peace and comfort, Mr. Brent, in knowing that all of these written expressions herein are sent with the most compassionate human sensitivity and feelings that have sympathetic roots far deeper than that of our written words.

FROM BRENT ON ARRANGEMENTS:

Many of you have been asking about arrangements for my Dad. We will be receiving friends on Friday, June 17th from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm with a celebration of his life service beginning at noon.
The visitation and service will take place at Southwestern Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN. From there, we will travel in procession to the grave side service. Our local Ford Model-A club will be driving their cars in Dad's honor, so if you have any type of antique car and are attending, you are more than welcome to join in with us. There will be a military honor service at 1:45 at the VA Mountain Home Cemetery. I will post more information as the date draws closer.

Very sorry to hear about your dad's passing. I have many memories of Bob at swap meets all over Texas when I lived there in the 1980's. He was a fun guy, a knowledgeable guy, and a pretty good arm twister. Sadly, we are all getting older and the worst part of old age is seeing all your old friends pass before you. I truly value my memories of those I share this great hobby with over the last 50 years. Remember all the good times. Dick Crabtree
