Default Merc At The Car Show

The 2022 edition of our local museum car show today. Great weather and lots of fine vehicles. I got to park my rusty old Merc beside a very nice 53 Monterey and visit with the owner for a good while. Best of all I won third place in the viewers choice vote.

Hi Mark. I think I could have won the "rustiest car" award if they had one. There were a few more original, faded survivor cars and trucks there this year. And 3 flatheads including mine! Working on uploading the video to yt now.

Congratulations on your award Ralph, my dad had a ‘53 two door sedan with the Mercomatic, he towed a boat with it, it was two tone, red roof and black.

Amazing how many of these old cars had trailer hitches. I don't remember but my brother claims this Merc had a bumper hitch on it when my dad bought the car in 1959. Those mercomatics were a tough old transmission.
