Default Success!.....Qualified....

Well, Bob's '31 A started tonight! Sounded and felt smooth while it ran, too. No LOPE to the engine. Didn't want to run long, though, but that may be due more to my clumsy execution of the start-up procedure. And, with the original coil! New high-tension wire, though. I'm re-reading the timing procedure and will run through it again, after replacing the points I think. Don't care for the look of the one's in there. Think I didn't nail the step with removing backlash before tightening the cam bolt down. Also, re-reading the "Start and Driving" procedure. I'm sure I can improve on that. Also plan to pull the carbs for a quick clean and check. Air filter is fine.

Gettin' close!.....
