1940 Rear side window install help
Can anyone point me to some instructions on installing the glass into/onto the regulators in the rear side of the 40 Standard? I put in new felts and runners today, but am unsure which way the glass and channel goes into and onto the regulators. I don't want to scratch it guessing!
I've been searching for an hour now and can't find anything! Thanks for any help. |

Re: 1940 Rear side window install help
Install it into the window openning from the inside, with the garnish molding off. The "buttons" on the glass bottom channel should face toward the inside. Place the buttons into the reg. arms and attach the clips. Hold the window glass from the top and crank the reg. up or down to align. Reinstall the molding. At least that's how my '41 worked and I imagine a '40 is the same.
