Any Idea what's up with the solenoid valve to the left of the oil pressure regulator?

What is wrong with posting that here? Seriously, if you're on this board and can't appreciate that hot little banger with some vintage speed parts bolted to it, then I don't know what day it is.

Man, that is a stellar car!! I'd love to have something like that in MY garage!!

Just noticed it is an A not a B block, oil lines seam to be routed differently than other fill pressure setups. Front motor mount looks like it has rubber mounts, very nice looking build.

Looks like a pretty good puddle of clean oil under the back main. Still a nice setup.

I thought it was a B block.
Isn't that the fuel pump mounting boss that the oil filter adapter is bolted to?

It IS an 'A' block. That is the oil drain pipe port.

That makes sense.
I hadn't thought about pipe not being there.

This looks like Jack Miller's car, a national prize winner several years back. Jack bought the car a couple of years ago, and mounted a "Miller" head and other era speed equipment. Now he says it doesn't begin to run well until it gets up to around 55-60 mph. A really nice car, but with this engine set up, it doesn't sound anything like an "A" anymore ... obviously.
