Tudor - Floorboard Seal / Webbing
On the Snyders website they list two seperate webbing kits for the floorboards.
http://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/3348 In the description it says "If you have a Tudor Sedan, you will also need kitA-35130-S2 to do the center and rear boards." Do I need to buy both for my Tudor or is that a bit of a typo and I only need the 2nd one for my car? |

From the way it is written, you need to buy BOTH kits. The price looks like it also, since the first kit does the front floorboard, and the second kit does the middle AND rear boards.

Peter uses a Minwax product, which does show the grain. He has used it on his fine point cars.

I'm going to paint the repro floorboards I've made, so they look just like these original painted early 29 Tudor boards. |

I didn't think a tudor had a rear floor board. Only a front and center.

Re: Tudor - Floorboard Seal / Webbing
Yah a minwax would probly be a good way to go.The only thing I worry about with black paint is that it may flake off and look bad where as a Black stain or something dark that soaks into the would with a sealer on it would last for a very long time. But if black paint is origonal not sure what to do.Hmmm have to think on it.

Re: Tudor - Floorboard Seal / Webbing
On my floorboard only 3 sides have webbing on them. The section at the top of the floorboard has none. Is this correct? On the corners, do you just fold it over and nail it down ?? Thanks!

Re: Tudor - Floorboard Seal / Webbing
Spray the boards with PPG DP90LF like you used on the bare steel. It will never peal off.

Re: Tudor - Floorboard Seal / Webbing
Yes, look at my original boards in post 6. It shows the corners folded to form a 45* line.
