carb spacer
Has anyone made a carb spacer out of hardwood? I remember reading about someone doing that but cannot recall who when or where. Just wondering how the fuel mixture affected the wood. Any comments welcome.

Re: carb spacer
Use to make them out of red oak or ash back in the day at high school shop class. The spacers worked well and don’t recall ever having a problem with them. Also use to make adapter plates to mount different carbs on the manifold. Those were the days, chevys 327 and ford yblocks 312.

Re: carb spacer
Yes, they work well, insulate very well and fuel has had no effect on any I've run. A nice flat piece of hardwood makes a great spacer.
