left side only heating up
Hi what would cause a new motor to heat up only on the left side,
new pump on both side, You can hold the upper hose the right side heats up when stats open but the left side hose stayed cool while the temp rose. After shut down the two hose will heat up, Motor is a 8ba new everthing |

Re: left side only heating up
Rookie guess here. could it be that the right side thermostat is stuck open not allowing the temp to build up on the right?

Re: left side only heating up
Could also be the opposite and that stat is opening later so the water is not flowing thru that hose at first. Usually there is a few degrees difference between the two and they heat up at different speeds.

Re: left side only heating up
Allen first thing is to remove the stats and see what happens. You could have 2 differant types or one could operate at a differant temp or be bad. Check them in a pan of water. Could have a restiction, compression leak or bad pump in the hot side. G.M

Swap sides with thermostats and review results.
