Touch up paint
During my engine re-install I manged to scratch the shiney black paint on the fender and there are a few chips and scratches on the body. I do not know what kind of paint is on the car.
The fenders are black and the body supposedly is Hessian (sp) blue and the trim is Lombard blue. I received the blue paint chips from MAFAC and when held against the body they are not that close. Any thoughts about touch up will be greatly appreciated. thanks, Burt |

Re: Touch up paint
Many body shops have a special color match camera that is used to take a "picture" of the paint on the car, then produce a paint code to match.
Took our Tudor to 2 different shops to get the color match correct. Second shop did so perfectly. Our Chickle/Copra colors were applied 40 years ago and have faded a bit and no longer match the book, so was in the same situation as you. The color match camera was the solution. |

Amazing array of colors and you can mix to suit and get the best match. This trick has worked on everything from Harleys to Model A's and its a relatively cheap way to do some touch ups. Cheers! |
