Back yo your original question: is this in fact a CCPU cab back?
Can you give us a shot of the rear belt rail?
I am wondering if this is closer to the back end of a Tudor.

The original picture shown in the first post looks like it is for a late '31 Steeltop. The steel top itself has similar tabs that are offset to the ones on the back wall of the cab. A search through the archives here will show some previous posts covering this topic.

What you have is the back of a CC truck with the steel top. With the steel top there is no need for a tack strip because it uses a metal strip like the Tudor to close the gap. This type of back won't work with a soft top without a lot of work. Like Tim says, the steel top has offset tabs that corresponds with the spaces between the ones in the back but with some space in between so you can nail the metal strip on.
