Default Original rear fenders....(30-31)

I ran into an old buddy from High School (I didn't even know back then that we'd live this long) the other day and he has a pair of original Model A rear fenders, tail light holes in the left only. He is questioning whether there's a difference in the 30 or 31? I told him I wasn't sure but I knew just the place to find out.......

Anyone.....??

There is no difference in years, just body styles.
