Default Installing 1934 light switch assembly

Located at the bottom of steering column(disconnected when I received car), when I attempt to install the light switch assembly, it just slides back out. (There is a missing bolt on the collar just above where the assembly slides in). Any help is appreciated. I’m a newer member and don’t have a good hold of how to communicate on messenger, so please be patient ( I’ve tried posting pictures and can not for some reason). I may also be reached direct at 845.821.3855
Thank you in advance

Do you have the C clip on the bottom of the light/horn rod that holds the fork thingy in place?

I think he needs the bail which secures it to the bottom of the column. Here is a pic of a '37 but a bit greasy. Here is a link to all those parts.

Be sure to get a few extra C-clips. They get away easily.

If the silver, two piece switch holder is sliding out from the bottom of the steering box, them it's just missing the bail. If the horn rod is sliding out of the top of the column, the "C" horseshoe clip is missing and the spring is pushing the horn rod out the top.

If it's the bolt with the arrow just go to the hardware store.
