Been hooking up a few things on the 41. Turned over great the first time I tried, didn't start but the right headlight turned on by itself. The next time, nothing. Battery charged. Turned ignition on and tested for 12v on the switch and nothing. Disconnected ignition switch and tested OK on ohms. Tried to jump start with cable from battery to starter solenoid and no go! Put car in 3rd gear and rocked back and forth to "unstick" the starter. Unhooked the headlight switch and turn signal box. Tested battery voltage again, tried to re-charge the batter but my auto charger wouldn't start up reading 0 volts.
Noticed sparks on the positive terminal when I touched it with meter lead. Looked at the terminal and sure enough the battery post was corroded and the cable positive end as well. Car had been sitting for 2 years with little use and terminals were loose. Sanded the post and cable end and started right up.

I'm on my own now for troubleshooting after DOD died on me last July at 97 years and 10 months! He had a sign on his refrig that said. "I intend to live forever, so far so good!" He came close. https://mrtexascitrus.weebly.com/ptsauber.html
