Default 1941 super deluxe

I just picked up a beautiful red 41 v8 3 on the tree all stock with some newer parts and paint. The seats were trashed so it at the Upolstry shop now. My problem is there was no radio in it and I can't find one. All the after market say 40, 42-46. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I'd suggest a hidden modern radio.

To clarify I'm looking for a radio to go in the dash where the original was but a new radio. A retro styled radio.

Got this pic off eBay looks like a simple square hole in the dash, you should be able to find something on CL or eBay that fits.

There are places that will take your original radio guts out and install an am/fm radio. Costs around $500.

Or ,find an original that works and install an auxiliary jack on it to run your ipod. Looks original and you get any tunes you want.

On my '41 the "radio" was actually only the dial. the actual radio was mounted to the firewall with flex cables from the dial to the radio for tuning and volumn

How about having an original converted to a modern radio. Check with Charles Forgey WWW.OldCarRadio.net He can restore it or convert it and can make them either 6 or 12 volt 423-344-8367 or 423-785-6333. Going to have him do my orignal 46 Radio when the time comes. Not going to price his work but if I remember right he told me it would cost around $300 but thats just what I remember and it may be different
