Default 1936 horn button

Has any one come up with a idea to replace the horn button assembly for 1936 banjo wheel since they dont make repros for them. Seen some cracked for sale for 100.00. Dont care about light switch but would like functioning horn. I see Lecarra makes buttons for their banjo wheels but they couldnt tell me if they would fit the 1936 wheel. Dont mind modifying wheel a little to get one to work.

I've got an original '36 horn button w/rod in good condition that I won't be using. If you're interested, PM me and I can email you pics of it.
