I have one with no grease fittings but it has a large hole and was used mainly in 29.

I read the guidelines as all housings had the hole; small hole, early to late '28 had the small hole, late 28 to end had the large hole.

The was also a pump used during the period from April '29 to April '30 that had no front grease fittings and a bushing instead of a bearing in the front but still had a hole.

That is how I read it but it is not crystal clear.

Mike thanks , that's the way I read it too , however had a customer asking for one with no hole , He has written many books on the Model A so assumed he knew something I was unaware of , hence the question, Always keen to learn .
