Sweet! Thanks for taking us along. I enjoyed the ride and your truck sounds nice. I make similar trips in my '51 F1 but I will often stop for a coffee.
Life is good.

It was a fine ride.
Glad you turned the heater on when you did. I was getting cold! |

Nice ride.
So, it's a small enough town that everybody knows where you're headed without turn signals?

Quite pleasurable to drive now. Running, steering, stopping great. I hope to get new tires and the stock wheels/hubcaps back on this year.

Re: 1949 F1 ride into town to chase some parts
Thanks from me too Art! I feel like I just got off the island (twice this past year) and took a trip to Whatcom County. Truck looks and sounds great and looks like no play at all in the steering. Great video and great job on the truck!

Thanks for sharing! I had a '50 pickup that was my daily driver while attending college in Spokane in the 60's. Have been thru your area many times when we could cross the border..............

Re: 1949 F1 ride into town to chase some parts
You're welcome guys, seems like everything we do these days is virtual.
GB, you getting "island fever"? Join the club, feels like an island here too. Luckily we've had plenty to keep us busy. I still have plenty to do to the F1, a few things to my 30 coupe, and the other coupe is a 31... do I dare say "hotrod". For the record, I didn't destroy the 31, the guy bought the car, pulled it apart and took the wood out. Lifted it up in the rafters with a fork-lift twisting it up pretty good. My plan is not to change the body at all, mounts just as stock.

Re: 1949 F1 ride into town to chase some parts
I have never owned or even thought much about hot rods, but that is a very cool looking hot rod. I have seven spaces that are under a roof. I think one is empty. I would have bought that one too. At 67 it's too late for a mid life crisis that's for a 38 year old, but a 3rd childhood? Sure, why not.
