Default Hot wire and prime with oil 1937 ford pickup

I am getting ready to start my old pickup and wanted to start it to see if runs was looking
At it and it is a lot different system than a have dealt with does anyone have a diagram or could help with either guestion thanks Tom you can call me at 518 5737447

Are you wanting to "hot" wire it to get it started? You need a wire from the battery to the ballast resistor (under the dash) and from the resistor to the coil. You don't want to keep the wire connected when the engine is not running as you can damage the coil. To go into detail you need to specify a few things:

1. 6v or 12v & positive or negative ground?
2. Original coil mounted on the distributor or "tin can" coil?
3. What engine is it?
