Default Kids and As

The PTA at the school I work at, had a fundraising raffle, the prize being a ride to school in various vehicles ranging from a Fire engine to a stretched Hummer. My coupe got roped in. It was a fun morning, the excitement of the kids and their parents was a joy to behold. The mother of the girls I took, said that her daughter, was dressed and ready to go at 6:00am! Well worth the effort and a great quick fundraiser.

I'm sure those kids will always remember that day. Kudos to whoever thought of that fundraiser.

Several years ago, our club did a football homecoming, where we drove the "court" a half a block on the school track, and they were announced and stepped out.

You did a great deed like many of us have done. Keep up the great work and don't be influenced by some of the Barners that are concerned that they might get a scuff mark. They are thankfully the exception in our hobby. Wayne

My wife an I attend as many shows as we can. We usually sit by our cars and as kids come by with their parents, we ask the kids if they would like to "drive" the A roadster, beep the Oogah horn and sit in the rumble seat. After they do, the smiles on their faces, including the parents, are priceless.

In the 1975-1976 school year, I was in the 6th grade. There was some sort of kids fun day at the local fairgrounds and for one of the attractions you could buy a ticket for a ride in a Model A. I ended up getting several tickets - that was the first time I rode in one. Since then I have owned four.

All kids of all ages from nine days to ninety plus years can sit in our Tudor wherever we may be. They only have to smile!!!!!

I was lucky to have uncles who introduced me to collector cars sixty plus years ago. I like to pay it forward.

Great fundraiser idea. My daughter is a 1st grade teacher and at the end of each school year I take her class for for a ride in my 29 Tudor. I usually do this 3 or 4 kids at a time. This year all the kids were interested in what the window cranks were for. All they had ever seen were power windows. I was amazed.
