Default tracking device

I just seen this device offered on the internet. This discussion has been going around lately for our 6 volt cars. Well this uses it's own battery and can be hidden inside our cars.
I personally never heard of this company nor have I dealt with them, I just thought it might be a good suggestion at a cheap price.

I wonder how far away from the phone can it be located? I've sent a message to them asking about distance and tracking stolen cars, boats, etc.

That is a very good question, i hope the answer is long distance. Even if it is not this at least gives us hope a long distance one may be available or will be soon.
I really like the fact that it has its own battery.

It's a Bluetooth device, can't be far.

Device Class Transmit Power Intended Range
Class 3 1 mW less than 10 meters
Class 2 2.5 mW 10 meters, 33 feet
Class 1 100 mW 100 meters, 328 feet

Very interesting subject. This is not the product intended to recover your car if it is stolen. It is short range ... think finding your car in a parking lot.

Other very sophisticated technology is already available and will enter the tracking market in the near future displacing products like LoJack. The applications for small, inexpensive, disposable devices that would track virtually anything at least nationwide and likely globally is unlimited. Want to invest some money? Start boning up on tracking technology.
